About us

We introduce to you the future of tattoo lifestyle — at ease, respectfully, and without commitments.

TATTOOSPACE grants you the freedom to create at your own tempo, with your own rules, in an artistic climate and open space without any pressure!

TATTOOSPACE is top located — on the 1st floor of an old historic building in a lively district. It is fully equipped — from hand sanitiser and stencil liquid to gloves, green soap, second skin, and Dry Lock pads.

You work in a large, bright, private co-working space that meets the highest hygienic standards. Additionally, at your service there are a photo studio, drawing table, a fully equipped kitchen, an open smoking area, a VIP room, a bar, a shower & WC exclusively for artists and much more. And yes, the music throughout all the space can be chosen and adjusted by yourself! You rent your tattoo space exactly for the period of time that you need, from 3 hours to one month — all transparent, quite flexible, and available throughout this website. You manage tattoo appointments completely independently, from booking with a client and the price you charge them to reschedule or cancelation, as if it were your own studio! For your clients, we offer a cozy, stylish atmosphere, free WiFi, a smoking area, a separate toilet, coffee, drinks, sweets and snacks, books and aftercare.

In 2019, TootznShellz Tattoo was founded and run by professional tattoo artists. Since 2022, TattooSpace has been founded and operated by Ari Akkermann (instagram.com/ariakkermanntattoo), an artist with thirty years of tattooing experience, who is always happy to share his knowledge with you. 

Since 2026, TATTOOSPACE has held the German STILPUNKTE award in recognition of its outstanding excellence.

  • Visit TATTOOSPACE before your booking if you can—we love meeting new artists!
  • Full refunds are available if you cancel at least 48 hours before your booking.
  • Always collect a deposit from your clients. If an appointment is canceled last minute, you’re covered.
  • Make your booking and payment to TATTOOSPACE only after you’ve received a client deposit and confirmed the appointment.
  • Allow at least 30 minutes before for prep and 30 minutes after for cleanup.
  • We provide all necessary equipment free of charge. Please note: we do not sell tattoo supplies.
  • Need accommodation? Contact us—we’ll help you find options.
  • Parking is available at “MUSIKPARK” for a small fee if you’re driving.
  • Non-EU artists: contact us for guidance on legal requirements before your booking.
  • Invoices are VAT-free and cover workspace rent only.

  • If you book a 9-hour slot or longer and run out of time, you may continue working after closing hours free of charge. Additional time during opening hours will be charged at €20 per extra hour.

Our space features two fully equipped workstations in a bright, shared space, where collaboration and creativity thrive. We provide everything you need for a seamless tattoo experience, plus a cozy atmosphere with comfy seating, good music, and refreshments for you and your clients.
